Originally named Hu Yu, it is located on the north side of the city. It faces south and serves as a natural barrier against the northeast monsoon. The elevation is about 93 meters. The mountain is green and lush. The shape of the mountain resembles a tiger with its head raised and roaring. The top of the mountain offers a panoramic view of Tongxiao, with the sea and sky in one color. In the past, "Hu Yu Watching the Tide" was listed as the number one scenic spot in Tongxiao. There are four historical sites on Mt. Hutou: Taiwan Restoration Memorial, ancient cannon, Shrine, and Shou Gong Shrine. The ancient cannon was left over from the Japanese rule and is said to have participated in the Russo-Japanese War. It was the most advanced artillery with yellow gunpowder at the time. The Environmental Protection Park on the mountain combines natural landscapes and ecological conservation. It is a great place for leisure and hiking.
