Located beside the central splash fountain circle in Chiayi City, the New Taiwan Pastry Shop has witnessed the birth and evolution of the circle.
Using Chiayi City's old name, "Taicheng," combined with the past and present imagery of the central splash fountain pool imprinted on cake molds, the shop introduces the "Taicheng Splash Cake."
The fillings include the best-selling classic flavor "Pineapple" and a newly developed "Orange Cream Cheese" flavor, differing from traditional large cake fillings.
Satisfying two flavors at once, it also brings along two generations of sweet and sour tastes.
