Located in Lane 303, Zhongzheng First Road, the elegant and exquisite Hongde Temple, with the meaning of "promoting martial arts," is known to locals as the Sun Bin Temple, and is also the first Sun Bin Temple in Taiwan. The main deity is Sun Bin, who competed with Pang Juan during the Warring States period, and is a descendant of Sun Wu, who wrote "The Art of War." Since the birthday of Sun Bin is on the third day of the first lunar month, the temple holds a grand ceremony every year from the first to the fifth day of the first lunar month, and many believers come to worship by chartered bus. The Sun Bin Temple was built in 1917, and in addition to the main deity Sun Bin, it also includes Sun Bin's master Wang Zhen Laozu (Guiguzi), Nanji Xianweng, Sanqing Daozu, Jiutian Shengdi, and Hua Tuo Zhenren.
