The Qingshui railway station was built at the same time as the Taian Station on the Old Mountain Line. Both were rebuilt after being damaged in the 1935 Great Earthquake during the Japanese period. The corridors and columns are similarly contracted, but the exterior walls of Qingshui Station are decorated with grooved bricks, presenting a simple and beautiful aesthetic. Since there are no towering buildings behind the railway, the visual landscape is very broad. In the waiting room of the station, there are cast iron chair frames with smooth and beautiful curves on both sides. This is a unique style that can only be seen at historic stations. The station was selected as one of the Ten Scenic Spots of Historical Buildings in Taichung City, and was announced as a historical building in April 2004.
