Zhongzheng Park was established in 1977 and covers an area of 7.4 hectares. Along with Taichung Park, it is one of the two major parks in Taichung City. The park features a variety of plants, including banyan trees, Bauhinia variegata, Senna siamea, golden banyan, June snow, Nerine, arborvitae, pomegranate, and dwarf red cassia. The park includes a large plaza for public exercise in the morning and evening, as well as a swimming pool that is open day and night, making it an excellent venue for leisure activities and fitness.
