Located in the Jiaodong area of Xizhi District, New Taipei City, the Jiaodong Waterfall is hidden in the valley behind the mountains of Dajianshan. The Jiaodong Waterfall is the largest waterfall in the Dajianshan area, with a height of about 4 to 5 floors, divided into multiple layers, and a pool of water forms at the bottom. It's hard to imagine that such a large-scale waterfall exists in a relatively low-lying mountain area. The Jiaodong Waterfall can be accessed from the Fūjì Mountain Villa or by following the Jiaodong Ancient Path, with the gentle sound of the stream accompanying you along the way. The waterfall is surrounded by steep cliffs, and there are stone tables and chairs in the nearby forest, where you can sit and listen to the sound of the waterfall, enjoying the beauty of the mountain forest. The Jiaodong Ancient Path was once a road used by local residents to travel to Shiding. Starting from the Jiaodong Waterfall trail, follow the stone steps up, and you can reach the 5-story-high Jiaodong Waterfall in just 5 minutes. The waterfall flows into a pool, with a wide and flat bottom, where you can sit and listen to the sound of the waterfall, enjoying the splashing water, and immersing yourself in the negative ions and phytoncides. Continuing to follow the Jiaodong Creek, the gentle stream flows endlessly, with moss-covered old stones, and a quiet, primitive atmosphere. Along the way, there are elegant nanmu trees, Land God temples, and abandoned stone huts, which are remnants of the pioneers' development and opening up of the land, possessing both cultural and natural beauty.
