The first distinguishing park in the nation features the tallest giraffe-themed game tower. The design concept draws inspiration from the local residents’ description of the "City Zoo," where giraffes appear to pause and observe the urban surroundings amid the savanna-like scenery and existing tree clusters. Complemented with a 16-m high slide and an aerial suspended climbing structure, the facility enhances children’s play experience and caters to diverse age groups for adventurous activities. Covering approximately 3.5 hectares, the Fengshujiou Park is constructed on the fundamentals of "playfulness" and "inclusiveness," with its design centered around "splendid childhood moments," creating a recreational space suitable for various age groups. The park features diverse facilities, including ecological pools, forest water channels, elevated landscape decks, a giraffe game tower, fitness equipment, restroom renovations, and improved paving, while preserving extensive open green spaces. The standout feature is the 16-meter-high "Giraffe Game Tower," which offers challenges and inclusiveness and currently serves as the tallest slide in Taoyuan. The park is divided into four main zones:
**Giraffe Play Zone**: Designed according to different floors and game difficulty levels for children aged 5–12 and above 13. The aerial walkways provide unique perspectives and interactive experiences while connecting to the giraffe imagery.
**Ecological Play Area**: Combining ecological pools, forest water channels, and adjacent agricultural fields, it creates an ecological paradise for children to swing and play alongside flying birds.
**Silver Fun Zone**: Centered around activities for seniors, allowing grandparents and grandchildren to enjoy each other’s company in a fragrant, floral environment.
**Large Green Lawn Area**: An ideal field for families to picnic, run, and fly kites. Designed with urban disaster prevention in mind, the lawn functions as an essential urban flood retention pond. Additionally, it serves as an ecological rainwater storage area and an emergency shelter for urban species—an innovative park that bridges and links the urban ecosystem.
