Located on Huanhe West Road in Yonghe District, Cai Dongxing's Shop is another popular glutinous rice cake shop in New Taipei City, comparable to Zhoujia's Steamed Cake Shop. Unique to this shop is its dedication to crafting steamed cakes in the "Ningbo Steamed Cake" tradition inherited from Zhejiang Province. Using domestic Penglai rice as the raw material, the process involves washing the rice, soaking it in water, then grinding it slowly into rice slurry, resulting in steamed cakes with resilient elasticity and delicate texture, as well as a uniquely silky mouthfeel.
