Simplified Chinese: Worship of the Deity – The True Warrior Grand Emperor Festival Date: Lunar March 3rd. One of the Three Major Shrines in Magong City, Penghu, founded during the Qing Dynasty. The primary deity is the True Warrior Grand Emperor. After the restoration, the deputy deity, the Wun-Fu Wang Ye of the Court of Inspectors, is also enshrined in the hall. A Buddha of “Zhun-Ti” is also venerated on the right side of the altar for faithful worship. The Northern Celestial Hall is filled with Chinese traditional architectural art, with exquisite paintings, calligraphy, and carvings of characters on gilded pillars, as well as lively depictions of people, birds, beasts, dougong brackets, curved beams, and bird‑shaped eaves pavilions. All of these are extremely precious, and the county government has listed the site as a historic building.
