Located on the west bank of Bitan in the AnKeng community, the "Taiping Palace" is near the Taiping Sports Park and the Air Force Memorial Cemetery. After crossing the Bitan Bridge, turn left and walk along Taiping Road for about 50 meters to see it. The traditional Minnan architecture enshrines the main deity "Kaizhang Shengwang". The temple was built in the 12th year of the Jiaqing era of the Qing dynasty, with a history of over 200 years. Due to war, natural disasters, or termite damage, the temple has undergone several renovations. Today's Taiping Palace is extremely magnificent. The Taiping Palace, located on the hillside of Dapingding Mountain near Bitan, is one of the oldest temples in Xindian and is also one of the most representative temples among the hundreds of temples in Taiwan that worship Kaizhang Shengwang. The incense is flourishing, and it has long been the center of faith for the people of Waiwuzhang Village in AnKeng. Every year in the second month of the lunar calendar, the temple fair is unprecedented. The palace preserves the treasures of the Tongzhi period, including the incense burner, offerings table, and wooden door couplets, which are extremely precious.
