Houcuo Fishery Harbor is located alongside the Danjing Highway and is the only remaining fishery harbor in the Sanzhi District. Although it does not have the same bustling atmosphere as the Tamsui Fishermen's Wharf, it offers a more genuine and rustic fishing village experience. The harbor has been further improved through the city's "Fishing Gear Warehouse Construction Project". While maintaining traditional fishing practices, the old containers were removed and replaced with 20 new reinforced concrete fishing gear warehouses for fishermen to use. The warehouses are equipped with manual iron rolling doors and translucent glass bricks to allow natural light in. The harbor area also features intelligent shore power equipment and a temporary storage and recycling area for marine waste, enabling the reuse of resources to enter the economic cycle and enhancing the overall sustainability of the harbor. A team of artists used hand-painted techniques to integrate the youthful "Coastal Line" image into the exterior of the warehouses, transforming their appearance and making the fishing gear warehouses not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, thereby enhancing the overall visual appeal of the harbor and bringing a new, diverse image to the fishing harbor.
