Dansi Fishermen's Wharf

2017-06-29
The Daan Fishermen's Pier wooden boardwalk, located at the Daan Fishermen's Pier along Zhongzheng Road towards Shaling Seaside Bathing Area, is a popular spot for large-scale events held by relevant government agencies due to its convenient transportation, vast area, and well-planned facilities. It has become a new tourist attraction in Daan, with a large number of visitors on weekends. At the same time, this pier is the only place in the city where private operators have been approved by the city government to operate sightseeing boats. On weekends, there are fixed sailing routes along the Daan River, and during the summer, there are also sailing trips along the Blue Highway (Daan-Fujii Fishing Harbor-Yellow Noodle) from port to port. Along the way, visitors can enjoy the sight of the confluence of the Daan River and the sea as well as the scenery along the northern coast. Located within the second Daan Fishery Harbor, there is a 332-meter wooden boardwalk extending into the sea. The 70 million yuan cross-harbor bridge connects the coastal wooden boardwalk, the floating dock area, and the New Taipei City Fish Market, forming a circular route within the harbor area. Its design, resembling a sailboat, symbolizes the fishermen's smooth sailing and successful return. The bridge is 164.9 meters long, about 5 meters wide on average, and about 12 meters high. The bridge is designed as a single-sided A-frame cable-stayed bridge, with a smooth curved shape that echoes the image of a sailboat's sail. The pure white bridge body, combined with the nighttime lighting, creates a dreamlike and magical atmosphere, becoming a new visual focus in the harbor area. The bridge head square provides appropriate planting and greening, designed as an activity square for tourists to gather and meet. At the intersection of the cross-harbor bridge and the wooden boardwalk, a broader scenic platform is formed, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful sunset views of Daan.
