The "Taipei City Tieguanyin Baozhong Tea Research and Promotion Center" is located in the Maokong area and was completed in 1985. It has an area for displaying tea, introducing knowledge about tea production processes and tea tasting methods; a tea art teaching area, which provides guided teaching services by appointment on weekdays, and on weekends and holidays, volunteers offer free tours; an outdoor teaching area located at the back of the promotion center, where various plants are planted, including osmanthus, camellia, cherry blossoms, and green maple, and it also has a family recreation area, a tea garden, an ecological pond, a meteorological observation area, an artificial rainfall erosion trough, etc., introducing knowledge about soil and water conservation, allowing the public to understand the importance of soil and water conservation. The promotion center combines agriculture, life, culture, and leisure, providing citizens with a good place for leisure activities, and guiding the public to deeply understand the tea industry and culture of the Muzha area.
The tea promotion center holds 20 tea experience activities every year, including tea picking experience, tea art teaching, and making tea snacks; on Saturdays and Sundays, volunteers are arranged on-site to provide free tour interpretation services. On weekdays (Tuesday to Friday), only group reservations are accepted. Groups needing services must make a reservation two weeks in advance. The tour content includes tea art guidance, tea garden and ecological tours, etc.
