The Liang Shiqiu's Former Residence was built around 1933, initially serving as a dormitory for Fumita Yoshiyuki, an English professor at the Taipei Higher School. After the restoration, it was reorganized as a staff dormitory for the Provincial Normal College, and was successively inhabited by Zhang Rulin, Liang Shiqiu, Ning Zhu, and others. In 2003, the Taipei City Government's Executive Council designated "Liang Shiqiu's Former Residence" as a historic building. In 2005, National Taiwan Normal University conducted a survey and research on Liang Shiqiu's Former Residence, and carried out restoration work from 2010 to 2011, maintaining its basic appearance. It has now become a famous landmark with profound historical and cultural significance.
