The landmark of Xiding, with an altitude of approximately 1050 meters. When viewed from the Xiding area, it resembles a gigantic elephant, with the elephant's head, trunk, and back all vividly rendered. According to local experience, in the early years, as long as the weather was good, if a rumbling sound was heard coming from Elephant Mountain, it was a sign that the weather was about to worsen; conversely, if the weather was bad and a rumbling sound was heard, it signaled an improvement in the weather. This phenomenon was caused by the loose soil and rocks on the mountain, which easily rolled down and produced the rumbling sounds. However, nowadays, such occurrences have become rare, possibly due to the decrease in loose rocks or the masking effect of the increased noise from vehicles.
