Chen Wan-neng Tin Art Workshop belongs to Chen Wan-neng, a National Treasure Tin Art Master, and his two sons, who are collectively listed as Taiwan's Craft Households and traditional tin craft preservers of Changhua County, including Chen Jih-yuang, the third son, and Chen Jih-sheng, the fourth son. Tin is a metal with a silvery luster, often interpreted as "blessings bestowed"; tin craftsmanship involves casting and engraving various artifacts using tin-lead alloys. It was commonly used in past marriage ceremonies and religious rituals, with a history of over a century in Taiwan. Among these, Lukang experienced a period of prosperity from the late Qing Jiaqing era, with tin shops numbering at least six to ten at their peak. The Carriage Road became Tin Workshop Street, and master-apprentice systems spread throughout the entire province, supplying tin utensils.
