Since its establishment, 'Jingjing' has been operated in a partnership business model. The shareholders, from the initial stage, have taken supporting and participating in the LGBT equality movement as their corporate mission and social responsibility.
At the time of its founding, the cultural background in Taiwan was distorted by the mainstream heterosexual culture. The LGBT community in Taiwan and the Chinese-speaking world lacked a cultural voice of their own. The shareholders, with a shared vision, decided to establish a specialized multi-dimensional store for the LGBT culture, 'Jingjing,' which was born on January 1, 1999.
【Brand Origin】
The name 'Jingjing' is composed of six 'sun' characters, representing six shining suns, radiating bright light, and also echoing the international rainbow symbol that symbolizes homosexuality, with six colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. The stereotype that the LGBT community can only be active at night has been changed by the establishment of the open consumption space 'Jingjing,' providing a place for the LGBT community to shine during the day. One sparkle, one glitter, the sky is full of little stars.
