The park was originally known as "Taiwan Daxueshan Forestry Co., Ltd.", which was established to develop the forest resources of Daxueshan. It had the largest lumber mill in East Asia in the 1960s and was the first factory in Taiwan to introduce American-style integrated operations. The park is located at the starting point of Provincial Highway 8 (about 2.3 kilometers away), next to National Dongshi Industrial and Commercial Vocational Senior High School. It is a must-pass place for entering Guoqguan, Baxian Mountain, and Daxueshan National Forest Recreation Area. The park features a diverse range of recreational and environmental education facilities, including natural ecology, preservation of historical sites related to the forestry industry, and woodcarving art exhibitions. It is also the best spot to admire lotuses in the central region during summer. The park currently offers free admission for visitors.
