金門縣金沙鎮博愛街48號
Located in Jinsha Township, Kinmen, this Min-style shaobing shop has been in business for over thirty years. Some say you haven’t really been to Kinmen until you’ve tried the Min-style shaobing. Shaobing was once a staple breakfast for Kinmen locals and a favorite among the soldiers stationed there; when they returned to Taiwan, they’d bring it back as a souvenir. The appeal lies in its flaky crust and soft filling. Both the sweet and savory versions are delicious—each shaobing costs NT$12 (ten per box). They’re sold from early morning until around 5 p.m., with a fresh batch coming out around 2:30 p.m.
