Simplified ChineseEnglishTo the south of奎壁山地質公園, there is the North Liao Kuibi Mountain Tide-watching Area, renovated and constructed by the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration (PNAS). From the seaside promenade, walking northward for about 100 meters along the beach promenade, you can see the "Huan Shan Grass Path" signpost. Turn right onto the muddy grass path and into the small woods, where you will encounter a branch indicator. Walking straight ahead to the left or right will lead you along the trail to the sea cliffs beneath the military radar.
On the mountain peak, there are abandoned military facilities, fortresses, and trenches. This place was a military fortress before the martial law period. Looking out from the highest point of Kuibi Mountain, you can enjoy the natural landscape and vast sea view. On clear days, the northern area offers distant views of Jishan Islet and Dinggou Islet. During low tide, you can spot the Cihyu Marine Walkway to your right and Fanziwei Island to your left from the lower side.
Between Kuibi Mountain, Fanziwei, and Cihyu, expansive intertidal zones and rock formations are exposed during low tide, serving as spots for locals to collect oysters and shells.【Recommended duration】2 hours
