新北市三峽區雲森瀑布
Located in the Xiongkong area of Sanxia, New Taipei City, the Yun-sen Waterfall is situated on the upper reaches of the Zhongkeng Stream and is a combination of two waterfalls, Yúnxīn and Sēnshān, also known as the "Yun-sen Three Waterfalls" including the Sisters' Waterfall. The trail is mostly gentle and winding, surrounded by lush and verdant forests. Along the way, you'll cross crystal-clear streams, valley wooden bridges, and aluminum ladders, which can be thrilling but not too risky, and add a lot of wild fun. Shortly after crossing the stream, you can see the about 10-meter-high, double-layered curtain-like Yúnxīn Waterfall. Nearby, there are giant green maples. From late December to early January, you have the chance to enjoy the layered red maple leaves complementing the beautiful waterfall. On the left side, there's a steeper trail leading to the top of Yúnxīn Waterfall and the narrow Sēnshān Waterfall, but the view and area are smaller, and you can't get close. The beauty of Yun-sen Waterfall attracts many photographers and TV commercials to come and take scenes. As a result, more people come to watch the waterfall, admire the maple leaves, hike, trek, and play in the water. Due to the small mountain road and difficult parking, it's recommended to avoid weekends or leave early. You can hike nearby moderate mountains (such as Zhulushan, Kabaoshan, Lepeshan, Zuheshan, and Mányuèyuánshān) or the Mùtàn Ancient Trail. You can also head to the Mányuèyuán Forest Recreation Area or Sanxia Old Street for a visit and enjoy a forest SPA trip that's far from the world.
