In Dalun Village, Changhua, there is a remarkable sight where a banyan tree has grown around a temple—the aerial roots of the banyan wrap around the pillars of Xi’an Temple. The great tree’s limbs entwine the temple’s structure, creating a unique landscape well worth a visit. The temple’s principal deities are Lord Fude (Fude Zhengshen) and his lady, Fude Furen.
