新北市五股區成蘆大橋下
When the beach of Wugu Flood Diversion Ecological Park is exposed, it always attracts a large number of water birds to forage. From a distance, the beach seems to be scattered with stones, but upon closer inspection, it turns out to be a large number of Taiwanese mud crabs, square-shaped fiddler crabs, and mudskippers, which is quite spectacular. The 324-hectare flood diversion channel was originally built for flood control. In March 1998, the Environmental Protection Administration of the Executive Yuan invested a significant amount of NT$1.34 billion from air pollution control funds to commission the New Taipei City Government to undertake the greening and beautification project of the Erhchung Flood Diversion Channel. After 5 years and 4 months of work, the project successfully transformed the Erhchung Flood Diversion Channel from a dirty and chaotic state to a modern and multi-functional recreational park.
