The purpose of the establishment of Zhenlan Temple is to promote the culture of Mazu, encourage folk art activities, develop local art and cultural atmosphere, and elevate local cultural standards. The temple plans to build the Zhenlan Cultural Building on the land of the temple and the Pingying Camp area. On December 29, 1990 (the 13th day of the 11th lunar month), the foundation laying ceremony of the Zhenlan Cultural Building was held. Design Concept: The building is planned to have six floors, with a design inspired by the National Father Memorial Hall. Inside, it will feature small and medium-sized meeting rooms, a Mazu artifact museum, a library, the old temple's five entrance gates, and artifacts. Floor Introduction: B1 (Basement 1): The Huannian Plaza is designed for displaying stone carvings, wood carvings, sculptures, Chinese paintings, calligraphy, ink paintings, handicrafts, bonsai, large-scale art pieces, and folk artifacts. 1F and 2F: The auditorium has 786 seats, suitable for various events such as performances, speeches, award ceremonies, acknowledgments, Buddhist scriptures, and large concerts, which can be organized by government agencies, Buddhist organizations, nurseries, kindergartens, and graduation ceremonies. 4F: The conference room is available for organizations and groups to hold seminars and workshops.
