Here one can gaze upon the encircling mountains and waters, a sight so enchanting it leaves the spirit adrift; the elevation is low and the area is often shrouded in mist, whose scenery is utterly captivating. Around Bihu the natural landscape is still preserved—unspoiled, serene, blue sky and white clouds, emerald hills and jade waters. A 20-minute walk up the small path beside Wushe Agricultural School leads to the dam, 114 m high, built by Taipower to collect the waters of the Central Range and regulate the flow to Sun Moon Lake.
