南投縣集集鎮民生路75號
Jiji Station is renowned for its Japanese-cypress construction. In the early days of rail transport it handled passengers, bananas, rice, fruit and timber from towns along the line, serving as an agricultural distribution center for the surrounding townships. Severely tilted by the 921 Earthquake, the restored Jiji Station retains its Japanese wooden exterior and is one of the last surviving stations from the Japanese colonial era. The simple town is famous for its diverse tourism resources; next to the well-known Jiji Station an decommissioned ROC Army M24 tank is on display, and on weekends a steady stream of visitors makes it Jiji’s most important and famous attraction.
