The Seven Beauties' Tomb is located in Nan-kang Village, Qimei Township, Penghu. If you head southeast toward Nan-hu Harbor, you can see the legendary Seven Beauties' Tomb. There are two stone tablets, the only two that still exist today, positioned in front of and behind the Fragrant Flower Tree. The characters on the tablets have become blurred and unreadable due to age. According to legend, in the past, bandits would climb the nearby coast up to Qimei, burn villages, kill, and plunder. Seven women in the village refused to endure the bandits' insults, and together they threw themselves into a well to end their lives. To honor these seven virtuous women, villagers filled the well with earth. Shortly afterward, a Fragrant Flower Tree grew beside the well and exuded a sweet fragrance, prompting the erection of a commemorative tablet. For over four centuries, the Fragrant Flower Tree beside the Seven Beauties' Tomb has continued to scent the air, blooming abundantly every year. Consequently, nearby residents earnestly pay tribute to the Seven Beauties' Tomb, and the place was renamed “Qimei” in remembrance. In Penghu, there is a belief in “Flower Ladies,” referring to unmarried women. It is said that the seven girls of the Seven Beauties' Tomb were all Flower Ladies. Therefore, if a man behaves frivolously when visiting the tomb, he will be punished by these seven Flower Ladies! **Suggested Length of Stay:** 0.5 hours
