Built in 109 B.R. (Before Republic), the temple is nearly two centuries old. Enshrining the Heavenly Holy Mother as its principal deity, it enjoys the fervent devotion of countless faithful men and women because of its manifest spiritual power. Incense rises in clouds, and pilgrims stream in without cease. Whenever something momentous occurs in the town, the hanging lamp before the statue of Mazu sways continuously, leaving the townspeople filled with wonder.
