The Rukai Museum is located in Wudai Village, Wutai Township. It opened in 2000 and operates on three floors. The museum primarily collects and showcases traditional Rukai artifacts, presenting the diversity of Rukai culture. The museum building was constructed using modern techniques and stone slabs, with a perimeter wall featuring traditional Rukai dances as its theme. This design preserves the original Rukai culture. The first floor is mainly used for exhibitions, which are regularly updated. The second floor displays Rukai artifacts, while the exterior of the second floor features a traditional Rukai stone slab house. The interior of the house is complete with simple furnishings, allowing visitors to experience the culture firsthand and appreciate the architectural characteristics of stone slab houses, which provide warmth in winter and coolness in summer. It is recommended to spend about 1 hour here. Mondays are closed, and visitors must obtain a mountain entry permit to enter Wutai Township. Additionally, Type A large buses are prohibited from entering the area.
