Once an abandoned taro field, the site has been transformed into a secret training ground where dragonflies gather by day to practice aerial stunts; after dusk it becomes a noisy concert hall for frogs. Zhonglukeng Wetland offers two distinct experiences from sunrise to sunset. Taomi Eco-Village Tourist Information Center, hotline 0937-758-176, lies 5 km southwest of Puli Township along the Central-Tanwen Highway (Provincial Highway 21). Covering 18 km² and situated 420–850 m above sea level, the area is 80 % hilly terrain with minimal development, resulting in rich forest cover and a wealth of biodiversity.
