The Pengcun Wetland has an area of approximately 10 hectares and is located at the boundary of Linbian Township and Donggang Town. Originally a military camp area, three open ditches adjacent to the site include the unnamed ditch on the eastern side of Datan Village (external sewage interception), the Nanpu Embankment branch line, and the Haifeng Embankment branch line. This wetland mainly diverts wastewater from Datan Village's eastern community, the Nanpu Embankment branch line, and the Haifeng Embankment branch line into the Pengcun Wetland first. After reducing pollution using natural purification functions, the treated water is released into the Dapeng Bay lagoon. The wetland design primarily utilizes surface flow, employing deep and shallow ponds to create diverse habitats. To increase treatment efficiency, a subsurface flow wetland system is added after the sedimentation pond to remove most of the pollutants in the water. Water first undergoes preliminary treatment in the sedimentation pond and media bed before entering a series of surface flow wetlands, ultimately exiting through the outflow. The site's preliminary layout is shown in the figure.
