Dalaubasian (great chieftain) is located on the left lane of the Wutai Village activity center. The location is not very conspicuous. Dalaubasian is a great aristocrat and a headman for the people of Wutai Tribe. This can be seen from the large banyan tree outside the house, stone marker and the wooden carvings under the eaves. The headman's house always comes with a large yard. When there are important matters that need to be announced by the headman to the people, the people will gather in front of the headman's house. The origin of Dalaubasian's family can be traced back to the period of Jiuhaochai. After the Rukai people moved from Taitung to Jiuhaochai, they gradually increased in population.
