Yue Mei Shan Hiking Trail is located in Shoufeng, Hualien County and belongs to the low-altitude forest of the northern section of the Coastal Mountain Range, being the only national hiking trail on the Coastal Mountain Range. Originally an industrial road used by local residents, the southern section of the hiking trail is gentle and easy to access, while the northern section features a naturally pristine forest with rich ecological resources. As it was developed later, it still retains the characteristics of a low-altitude broadleaf forest ecosystem, making it a hiking trail that can provide experiences and education in natural ecology.
