88 years ago, Ruo Chih‑juan, a Paiwan designer, was raised under the influence of traditional culture and her interest in fashion design, fostering a strong passion for improving Paiwan craftsmanship and creating. To let more people appreciate the beauty of the Paiwan people, she centered her work on Paiwan traditional designs, combining modern popular elements and tirelessly improving traditional Paiwan products. She is now also collaborating with government projects, integrating Taiwan’s eastern‑specific jade‑fiber material with traditional yarn to enhance apparel, and has developed a proprietary jade‑fiber blending technology. The blended yarn is applied to Paiwan cross‑stitch products, improving the texture of traditional garments while significantly enhancing the delicacy of embroidered motifs. This innovative design adds value, making it a benchmark for elevating Taiwanese Indigenous products.
