嘉義縣布袋鎮入船路46號旁
The monument, located in a small alley in front of the Jiaying Temple in Budai Township, was inscribed by the Governor-General of Taiwan, Den Kenjirō, to commemorate the landing of Prince Komatsunō no Tōgō (also known as Prince Tōgō) in Taiwan. The original monument was erected to commemorate the landing of Prince Komatsunō no Tōgō, who led the Imperial Guard Division during the First Sino-Japanese War in 1895. After World War II, the monument was pulled down by the principal of a local school and discarded beside a fence. A landowner with the surname Tsai used it as a foundation to build a house. However, strange things started happening in the area. The Tsai family later decided to excavate the monument from the old house, and, using traditional rituals, re-erected the new monument, which is currently seen. In 2008, the Chiayi County Government designated it as a historic site.
