The Huang family from Shennong-li in Lizi' nei, located within the original Dashu community, is a historically renowned lineage. During the Qing dynasty, several ancestors of the family earned titles as Jinshi (degree holders) or Tribute Students. There was a common saying at the time that members of the Huang family could travel from their village to Guanshan Mountain without crossing others' land, illustrating their wealth and prominence in the region. Before the Sanhe courtyard at No. 143 Alley, Zhonghua Road, a pair of flagpole stones (locally referred to as "Jinshi stones") can still be seen. In those days, families with scholarly achievement raised degree flags at their gateways to proclaim their social status and hierarchy. The Huang family also preserves an original sedan chair used by ancestors, traditionally known as a "Jinshi sedan chair."
