The Jinmen Yanping Lord Shrine is an ancient-style palace building, with a total construction area of 300 square meters, located in the southwest suburb of Jincheng. During the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, the Yanping Lord Zheng Chenggong used Jinmen as a base for opposing the Qing and restoring the Ming. This site has a broad view and is the place where Zheng Chenggong conducted naval military maneuvers in those days. Facing south to the Lord's hometown of Nan'an, it symbolizes the spirit of never forgetting the mainland homeland. The origin of the construction was proposed in 1967 by Mr. Jiang Jingguo, then Defense Minister, during his inspection of Jinmen. The following year, the site of the Yanping Lord Shrine was determined to be at a high ground behind Xiaoshi Village, and construction was completed in 1969. In front of the shrine, an archway serves as the entrance, with the inscription "Loyalty and Righteousness in Heart and Courage". On the left and right sides of the square, two pavilions, "Hao Ran" and "Zheng Qi", were built as rest areas for visitors. Inside the shrine, a giant seated statue of the Yanping Lord is over 2.1 meters high, displaying a solemn and majestic atmosphere.
