Father Lo Po-t'ien arrived in the Kinmen region in 1954 due to the conflict-related circumstances, and from then on settled at Kinmen, participating in post-war medical relief efforts. He dedicated his life to providing healthcare for the local residents during an era marked by inadequate medical technology and facilities. The Lo Father Memorial Park, located by Taihu Lake in Jinhua Town, was where the father formerly practiced medicine at a cathedral serving the people of Kinmen. After the priest's passing, the cathedral long fell into disrepair and was damaged due to years of abandonment and lack of management. To honor Father Lo's contributions to Kinmen, a small Roman Arch Plaza was established at the original site, evoking the ambiance of a European village. The purity of white adorns the church walls, while a path of white gravel guides visitors toward the entrance. Although only the cathedral's façade now conveys its historical symbolism, it does not diminish the deep respect Kinmen holds for Father Lo.
