Mount Ma in Jinxia Town is only 2,100 meters away from Jiao Yu on the opposite shore, and during low tide, it is only 1,800 meters away. It is the closest point between Kinmen and Xiamen. In the past, it was a military fortress for observing the enemy's maritime activities across the strait, and was known as "The First Watchtower in the World." After entering the observation station, you will pass through a military tunnel. The tunnel is equipped with military facilities such as gun bastions. On good weather days, the Hongjian Mountains in Fujian can be clearly seen, reviving the past military memories and making it a popular tourist attraction! The Ma Mountain Broadcasting Station is located beside the road leading to the Ma Mountain Observation Post. Like the Beishan Broadcasting Station in Guningtou, it was the first line of psychological warfare broadcasts towards the mainland. Locals commonly call it the "broadcasting station." The late pop star Teresa Teng once made two broadcasts from the Ma Mountain Broadcasting Station to the opposite shore. With the changes of the times, psychological warfare broadcasts are no longer necessary, and now only pop music and Taiwanese songs are occasionally played.
