The former residence of San Mao, Taiwan's renowned female writer, is located fifty meters above the suspension bridge in Taoyuan Village. San Mao once said, "Silence is the quiet of nature. It means being alone, yet not lonely." Although San Mao lived a lonely life, she left behind a peaceful abode and numerous writings that praise the beauty of Green Spring, adding a beautiful tale to this stunning mountain forest. Today, the "San Mao Dream House" is furnished with many historical documents and photographs of San Mao's life, provided by Father Ting Songqing. Standing in front of the red brick house, one can't help but reminisce about the past, and the thoughts drift away with San Mao, feeling the lingering melancholy that permeates the intersection of time and space.
