The name “Raft River” originated because in the early days the scenery along the river was beautiful. People often fished by the riverbank and used bamboo rafts as a means of transportation on the water, so the place came to be called Raft River. Along the bike path, a variety of resident and migratory birds, as well as numerous freshwater fish, can be observed. With careful observation, one can also find aquatic insects and a diverse range of amphibians that inhabit Raft River, allowing the public to get close to the river’s valuable natural resources. While enjoying a comfortable cycling experience, riders are encouraged to appreciate the importance of the ecological environment. Reaching the end of this section on the bike path connects you to the middle section of the Zhongke bike path.
