Jinlongshan Beifeng Temple is located on the picturesque shore of Jinlong Lake. Founded during the Japanese colonial period, its majestic exterior has long made it the center of folk belief for nearly 100,000 residents of the Shehou area. According to some devotees, Beifeng Temple began as a small shrine on privately owned land; because the enshrined Guanyin Bodhisattva proved highly responsive and the site was well managed over the years, the compound steadily expanded until it finally grew into the present complex of several great halls.
