The Tingtao Camp site, located at Nasiao Cape, was once a base guarded by the Marine Corps. Due to changes in the overall environment, the camp was abandoned and left idle for nearly 20 years after the troops withdrew. To make effective use of tourism resources, the Northeast Corner Management Office repurposed the original buildings and refurbished them, preserving their original military style. The visual color scheme features black, green, brown, and earth tones, and additionally incorporates "pink" camouflage, which represents a gentle yet strong force, as well as passion, romance, and love.
The Tingtao Camp site is situated on the ridge line of the Nasiao Cape Trail. Starting from the trailhead near Nasiao Elementary School, it takes about 30 minutes of walking to arrive. Along the way, visitors can slowly take in the breathtaking views of the bay and cape, fantastical sea-eroded terrain, and vibrant coastal flora. This trail is suitable for people of all ages. If you have the opportunity to plan a short trip to Nasiao Cape, be sure to visit this camouflaged café nestled in the valley.
