台東縣成功鎮中山東路75號
The first-floor exhibition area is divided into permanent exhibition sections, displaying local maritime cultural exhibits, including multimedia playback of fixed-net fishing operations, description of bluefin tuna species, legends of fisherfolk heroes, vintage photo presentations, and more. Another exhibition hall functions as a special showcase area, periodically featuring local humanities and arts, economic industries, archaeological artifact loans, and results of community activities… The Success Township, stretched from north to south, features settlements established by various ethnic groups extending longitudinally from north to south along the coastal plain, with the Amis being the principal ethnic group. The township comprises eight administrative villages; currently, the majority of residents are engaged in agriculture, followed closely by fisheries. The Amis people, a matrilineal society with naturally optimistic and candid personalities, preserve their unrefined songs and primitive dance steps, harmonizing with natural elements like wind and waves—life and rituals have long been integrated with nature. The Harvest Festival epitomizes the essence of Amis culture and is the most significant cultural celebration that exemplifies the identity of the Amis. It plays a vital role in sustaining their ethnic continuity and cultural preservation. Coastal villages in the area, arranged from north to south, include Xiaoma Village, Dulei Village, Fengtian Village, Heping Village, Qilin Village, Minfeng Village, Sanmin Village, Zhitian Village, Sansheng Village, Meishan Village, Xiaogang Village, Yushui Bridge Village, Chong’an Village, and Yehuan Village—totaling fourteen clusters. From early July to mid-August annually, each village selects its celebration date to host the annual Harvest Festival, with vibrant scenes of joyous dancing and singing that immerse visitors in authentic Amis cultural charm. Welcome to join in the annual festivities, experience this raw cultural renaissance, and embrace the deep philosophy of the Amis people living harmoniously with nature. Stretched north to south, the Success Township sees settlements formed by diverse ethnic groups extending from north to south across the coastal plain.
