Li Jin's tofu pudding is made with pure soybeans that are first soaked in water for 3 to 4 hours, and then ground after they have softened, adhering to the traditional method of making tofu pudding. As a result, the tofu pudding has a rich soybean fragrance and a delicate, smooth texture. All the ingredients are also cooked fresh on the previous day, making them fresher than those in some stores that obtain them from factories. Another specialty of "Li Jin Tofu Pudding" is adding a large amount of "shaved ice" to the tofu pudding. Unlike other tofu pudding shops that usually add shaved ice with sugar water, the fragrant tofu pudding paired with the shaved ice is refreshing and thirst-quenching. The owner said that because students love to eat ice, but if only sugar water is added, the proportion is difficult to adjust. Therefore, they directly use sugar water to make ice blocks, and then blend them into a slush. Moreover, Li Jin's sugar water is made by first caramelizing the sugar and then adding water to cook it, giving it a particularly fragrant flavor.
