Located on the upper reaches of the Beigang Creek, it is an experimental forest of National Chung Hsing University. Most of the area consists of natural coniferous and broad-leaved forests, featuring both temperate and subtropical forest types. With lofty mountains, deep valleys, and luxuriant woods, the scenery is exceptionally beautiful, making it an excellent spot for forest bathing and hiking. High peaks (2,419 m), gorges (Beigang Creek Gorge, 500 m), a rich variety of tree species, and well-planned facilities make it ideal for both ecological study and recreation.
