Tulan is the largest indigenous community in the southern part of the eastern coast. Standing tall in East Taiwan, Tulan Mountain has long been revered as the "Sacred Mountain" by the tribal people. It is not only a spiritual symbol of customs, arts, and culture, but also a delightful place where visitors can enjoy the wilderness of mountains and forests. Recently, the Amis tribe has been promoting community culture, making their songs and dances even more refined and their handcrafts increasingly innovative and exquisite. The fresh and healthy traditional Amis cuisine is also worth trying. The Tulan area is not only rich in cultural heritage with the county-designated "Tulan Archaeological Site," coastal tidal flats featuring a unique ecological system, and distinctive Amis tribal characteristics, but it also holds remarkable attractions such as the "Miracle of Water Flowing Uphill," "Moonlight Shelter," the movie filming site of "Under Moonlight, I Remember," scenic cove "Kamusi Bay," cultural and art museum of red sugar, "Xindong Sugar Factory," and the natural attractions of Tulan Sacred Mountain and Pacific Ocean. These spots promise visitors a journey full of fun and surprises! The East Coastal National Scenic Area has built several rest pavilions along Highway 11, allowing tourists to admire the scenic beauty of Tulan Bay from multiple perspectives. On summer nights, travelers can revel in the stunning, star-lit views of Tulan Bay.
