Founded in 1979 and with a 30-year history to date, “Puli Paper” has, under founder Mr. Chang Ching-hsiang’s guiding principle of “devotedly crafting every single sheet,” exported its superior papermaking technology to more than 60 countries around the world. In 2007, guided by the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and with counseling from the Industrial Technology Research Institute, the company transformed its former warehouse-and-printing Plant 2 into a tourism factory and renamed it “Paper Dragon Handicraft Hall.” After comprehensive planning, the mill—rich in both industry and historical culture—now overflows with creativity and hands-on appeal at every turn. The unique knowledge of papermaking and the patented corrugated-paper roll crafts satisfy every diversified sightseeing need. Inside Paper Dragon you will see more than just the completion of a sheet of paper; you will discover the diverse possibilities of paper in daily life and the touching warmth it conveys. Every display in the Paper Dragon Handicraft Hall is made entirely of “paper,” utilizing large quantities of the Hall’s own products for design, applying paper to every corner of life so that every visitor can personally experience the rich versatility of “paper.”
