花蓮縣卓溪鄉南安83號之3
Nanan Visitor Center is located in Zhulun Village, Zhuoxi Township, serving as the eastern entrance to Jade Mountain National Park's Battan Ancient Trail, and primarily providing visitors with travel information and interpretation services. Before entering the Nanan Service Center, there is a vantage point and a pavilion where visitors may rest momentarily, overlooking the alluvial plain formed by Lakulaku Creek or enjoying the gentle breeze from the mountain valley to savor the refreshing embrace of nature. In front stands the "Battan Pass Road Construction Commemorative Monument." This monument records how during the Japanese colonial era, the Japanese constructed the Battan Ancient Trail as a military patrol road, showcasing significant historical value. From the inscription on the monument's back, one may appreciate the challenging and laborious nature of the construction. Within the center, amenities include an audio-visual room, exhibition hall, ecological interpretation hall, and souvenir shop. The audio-visual room features five daily multimedia presentations and, seasonally, showcases films such as "Jade Mountain National Park Overview," "Jade Mountain's Verdant Earth Clothing," and "Feathered Life of Jade Mountain." Travelers collecting commemorative seals should remember to bring their stamp albums to the center’s entrance, where twelve uniquely designed stamps are available: the Taiwan black bear, Bunun tribe, Jade Mountain, and others. The Jade Mountain National Park Administration has established the Lamuakan Nature Knight Relay Station here, introducing Taiwan’s first bicycle-friendly "Happy Ride" system, allowing visitors to connect with nature using only their own two legs.
