Wuyou Keng is located along the northern coastline of Green Island Lighthouse, a small pool that reveals itself only at low tide. Near this attraction, the terrain consists of rocky shores. When the tide retreats, seawater is trapped by a ring-shaped reef and cannot drain away, creating a small pool. Contrasting sharply with the imagery implied by the name "Wuyou Keng," this location not only features characteristics of an intertidal zone but also exhibits a tranquil water surface due to its lagoon-like topography. The pool occasionally gleams with hues reminiscent of emerald gemstones, offering a particularly beautiful sight. Additionally, because the beach surrounding this pool curves into a half-moon shape, the site is also referred to as the "Wuyou Keng Half Moon Pool" by some. The beach itself is composed of unique shell sand found exclusively on Green Island. The pristine, smooth sands, paired with the peaceful and brilliantly colored water, are mesmerizing. Basking in the sunlight, one can observe the golden glimmers of shell sand glistening under the rays, while feeling the grains rub against the soles of one's feet. Unlike typical beaches, the texture is not sticky but distinct in each grain, producing a soft rustling sound with each step. Combined with the small pool’s precious gem-like colors, the atmosphere here fully captures the alluring charm of a tropical island.
